SMBP Birthday Party & Night Jump
April 4 - Celebrate another year of riding at Shepherd Mountain with our annual birthday party and night jump session. Expect music, food, lights, and a high-energy evening as riders send it under the stars.
Shepherd Mountain UTV Summit Tour
March 21 - Twice each year, Shepherd Mountain opens its rugged mining-era terrain for a guided UTV summit tour to the top of the mountain, plus a few more climbs. It’s a rare chance to experience the steep climbs, loose rock, and incredible views most visitors never see.
Opening Weekend
MARCH 2026 - The season officially begins when the shuttles start running and the first laps drop on Shepherd Mountain. Opening Weekend is your chance to shake off the winter rust and kick off a new year of riding in the Arcadia Valley.
Bouldering Day
MARCH 14, 2026 - Explore the natural rock formations of Shepherd Mountain during our annual Bouldering Day. Climbers of all experience levels can test their skills on the mountain’s granite while enjoying a relaxed day outdoors. Hosted by Eastern Missouri Climbers Association
Iron Spokes Enduro –
Missouri Enduro Series
April 25 & 26, A highlight of the Missouri Enduro Series, Iron Spokes brings riders to Shepherd Mountain for a full weekend of gravity-fed stages across our steep, technical terrain. Hosted by Loki Events, it’s one of the most exciting race weekends of the season.
Midwest Downhill Series (New in 2026)
May 1, 2 & 3 - Starting in 2026, Shepherd Mountain will host a stop on the Midwest Downhill Series, bringing top gravity racers from across the region. Expect serious speed, big lines, and an unforgettable weekend of downhill racing.
Wheels Up Skills Clinic
August 22 - The Wheels Up Skills Clinic helps riders build confidence, control, and technique on real mountain terrain. Whether you’re new to downhill or looking to refine your skills, experienced instructors will help you level up your riding.
Sketchyville Downhill Series – 4-H Fundraiser
Date TBD - The Sketchyville Downhill Series is a fast, rowdy race weekend that helps support the Iron County 4-H program. Riders push their limits on Shepherd Mountain’s raw terrain while raising funds for local youth.
